Juicing is more than another diet fad; it is very healthy. Juicing allows you to quickly access the nutrients stored in fruits and vegetables without digesting the fibers and other plant materials. If you don’t have a juicer of your own, check out the ones on our website.
It can also be a great way to increase your vegetable intake or try something new without dramatically changing the foods you regularly eat. Be sure to only harvest and juice as much as you consume in a day. Allowing fresh juices to sit for long periods of time can make them susceptible to bacterial growth.
If you are interested in growing your plants for a juicing garden, we recommend the Chef's Specialty Seed Assortment - Juicing Garden seed mix.
This mix includes:
Atomic Red Carrot - Carrot juice is known to provide eye and skin benefits and boost your immune system.
Vitaminna Chinese Cabbage - Cabbage is a powerhouse for the antioxidants, vitamines, calcium, iron, and potassium it possesses.
Watercress - Provides immune system support and aids in collagen production.
Tasty Green Cucumber Hybrid - High in Vitamin C, other minerals, and antioxidants to cleanse and neutralize the digestive system from toxins in the body.
Komatsuna - Known for its high content of Vitamin C, calcium, and beta carotene that aids the immune system.
Tatsoi Pak Choi - Supports strong bones, good skin, and vision health.
Ruby Red Swiss Chard - Good source of Vitamins A, K, and C, along with magnesium and antioxidants beta-carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin.
