They are a type of multiplier onion with concentric layers like onions but generally smaller. Shallots are favored for their mild onion flavor, smaller size compared to onions, and versatility in culinary use. They are excellent for both raw and cooked dishes. Shallots prefer cool-season growing but can tolerate moderate heat. ~10 shallot sets per package.
