Buttercup (Kabocha) Winter Squash Seeds

Back to All Squash Seeds

Buttercup and Kabocha squash (AKA: Turban Squash) are both winter squashes and are technically different subspecies, but most folks couldn't tell them apart. They are very similar being shaped like a small pumpkin with green, often rough, thick skin. They have yellow or orange flesh and a sweet buttery taste with a smooth texture. Kabocha is a little blockier with slightly drier flesh. They are so similar that we categorize them together. Both store very well if kept in a cool, dry place.
