Buckwheat Seeds
Buckwheat is a pseudocereal grain. This means it is consumed as a cereal grain even though it doesn't grow on grasses. Other common pseudocereals include quinoa and amaranth. It is gluten-free making it a great alternative for those with gluten-restricted diets. You can use it in teas, groats, flour, and noodles. Simply use the same kind of cooking methods you would for wheat. Buckwheat is rich in fiber and minerals making it good for controlling blood sugars and encouraging good heart health.
