What is Earth Day?

Earth Day is a global holiday that originated in the United States during the 1970s. Pollution from the air to the water was vast and was increasingly linked to growing health concerns, including cancers, respiratory illnesses, and cardiovascular diseases. Now, nearly 200 countries participate to some degree in raising awareness of how we can best care for our environment.

How Do You Celebrate Earth Day?

That answer really comes down to what you want to do on an individual level. Some individuals and groups raise awareness about environmental issues and how communities can come together for better living conditions. Others take action by planting gardens, trees, and cleaning up litter and waste. Be sure to share your celebrations and tag @trueleafmarket on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and X.

However you choose to celebrate, we recommend getting your hands dirty and growing something beautiful. Need some ideas? Check out our new products, complete grow kits, or shop your tried and true favorites. Coupon code “EARTH25” is valid for 48 hours only. Act now to save 10% on all True Leaf Market brands and products through 9 am on April 25th, 2025.
