Plantain Seeds

Plantain herb is a broadleaf hardy plant that is useful for medicinal purposes. It is actually considered a weed in many places. It is both drought and heat tolerant allowing it to survive in many regions. It can also handle high traffic and mowing making it incredibly hard to remove from lawn areas. If you choose to plant this nutritious herb we recommend cutting the flower spikes off as soon as they appear to prevent unwanted spreading. In addition to its use as an herb, plantain can be used as a forage crop. The same characteristics that make it a risk for home landscapes make it ideal for use around animals.
