Banana squash is a winter squash with thick skin and an elongated 'banana' shape. They can grow quite large (up to 3 feet long and 35 lbs under ideal conditions). Banana squash usually has pale, creamy flesh. Banana squash will store whole for a month or more when kept in a cool, dry place.
