Burdock Seeds

Burdock develops long and deep roots that range from tan to black in color. This root vegetable is popular for several reasons including its culinary and medicinal uses. Because of its natural properties for detoxifying the body, use as a digestive aid, and antioxidant concentrations this vegetable is highly valuable for liver, urinary tract, and skin health. It develops a root that is the main harvest, large floppy leaves that can also be useful, and purple flowers that develop into seed burs in the second year of growth. This plant is a biennial that prefers warm weather but can handle a variety of weather, light, soil, and water conditions. It often grows wild as a weed across North America as it is fast-growing and not picky about its growing conditions.
