Asian Eggplants are favored in China, Japan, Thailand and other Asian cultures. They are typically sweeter in flavor than other types, and come in a wide variety of colors and shapes. The most common shapes are round or elongated, rarely manifesting the pear shape of Italian varieties. They produce fewer seeds and are more tender than other varieties.
