This year’s Ginormous Pumpkin Regatta was filled with new races and activities for all ages! What is a pumpkin regatta, you may ask? It is a captivating and entertaining race featuring giant pumpkin boats captained by individuals dressed to the nines in incredible costumes. For excited onlookers, this event also features festive games and photo opportunities, making it one of the best annual October events for individuals and families.
2024 Highlights
Each year features a few changes including new activities for kids of all ages to enjoy. This year’s additions included a cardboard boat race, painting pumpkins, new yard games, and a pumpkin drop to close the event. Whether you come for the races or the activities, you are sure to have a fun time!
Cardboard Boat Race
We loved watching these unique creations battle it out on the water. Each contestant really went all out with themed and decorated ships that made for a captivating race.
Games
Each year, our partners at Live Daybreak put together a fun assortment of games and activities to keep those little ones smiling and laughing all afternoon. This year features new games like human hamster wheel races!
Petting Zoo
Who could pass up the opportunity to pet an animal? As is expected, the petting zoo remains a popular fan favorite for kids from 1 to 100.
Mini Pumpkin Painting
This new addition was a hit! Attendees had the chance to paint a mini pumpkin to take home. We gotta say, those paint markers were an excellent choice for a quick and mess-free fall craft.
Costume Contest
Along with pumpkin, cardboard boats, and paddle board races, the Pumpkin Regatta has also featured a long-standing costume contest. Each year, we are blown away by the dedication of our contestants' creativity and originality.
Pumpkin Drop
This year’s addition of a pumpkin drop was a smashing success! Who knew watching a giant squash crash into the ground could be so fun? We highly recommend adding this activity to your next fall community events!
